Why we exist
I'm one person, and I built Kasa for small businesses like the ones I kept seeing get left behind.
There's a lot of powerful software for large property managers — but almost nothing for the small ones. The big platforms like AppFolio and MRI are built for firms with thousands of units. If you're smaller, they're too much: too expensive, too complex, more than you need. So most small firms fall back on Excel, PDFs, CSVs, and email — until you're on the phone with a client, needing one answer from a lease right now, stuck digging through files.
That's the gap I wanted to close. Kasa is for people running firms of 20 to 150+ units — the ones who've outgrown spreadsheets but were never who the enterprise tools were built for. I'm not a big company. I'm one person who saw a real problem and built the tool that fixes it: fast, correct, cited answers from your own documents.
Small businesses deserve software built for them — not a stripped-down version of something made for someone else.

Kento is a Colombian-Japanese high school student who taught himself to build software after seeing how many small property management teams were stuck with tools built for someone else's business. Kasa is built, shipped, and maintained by him alone.
